I was admitted to the hospital very ill during Easter time and I consider myself very lucky to be put in Mr Warren's care. His professionalism and always very positive attitude and bed manners made me feel very confident that I was in the best hands possible. He performed a very difficult operation and I believe he saved my life. During the two weeks that I spent in the hospital he came to visit me everyday either by himself or with the wonderful team of young doctors. I am having a very speedy recovery thanks to his wonderful care. My two daughters and myself will never thank him enough. Lilliana Siddi

We are very lucky to have Mr Oliver Warren in the NHS. After blood tests and x-rays, I first met Oliver Warren when the A&E doctor called him down for his opinion on the immense pain I had throughout my stomach. He said a CT scan was needed. Mr Warren said he had heard from the radiologist and that the pain was caused by my appendix. Having discussed this thoroughly with him and options, we also talked about why the pain was also very acute on my left-hand side. He then said he wished to personally see the CT scan before anything was decided. “This was extremely reassuring and filled me with confidence”. I felt I was in good hands. Half an hour later, I was being wheeled into the operating room for a burst appendix. On waking up from the operation I saw Oliver Warren, who explained everything clearly that went on, and how he had flushed 12 litres of fluid to clean me out and how well the operation had gone. Again I felt reassured and confident that I was in the best hands possible. The following morning Mr Warren came on his rounds with a group and a young doctor taking notes. One of my questions was, when could the catheter be removed, he replied tomorrow. Seeing my disappointment he then reconsidered and said it could come out later that day. What came next really impressed me very much indeed. He turned to the young doctor taking notes and said to her “please note that it was me who has changed my mind”, i.e. not you making a mistake scribing the conversation. The fact he did not wish anyone who may see the notes thinking that this doctor was not doing her job properly, tells me that he also cares for his colleagues as well as the patients. For the best part of a month, I saw Oliver Warren every morning on his rounds and also observed him with other patients. To sum up, all I can say is that I have the greatest respect for his surgical skills, his professionalism and bedside manner, which I believe, is echoed by all that work with him. Sincerely, Daniel Bexfield.

I was admitted into hospital last year and straight into Oliver Warrens care, I can only praise this man to the highest level. He was on duty for the whole week and had a team of students with him at all times. He has thought and care for both students and patients alike. I had the pleasure of meeting him again in clinic for my follow up appointment , he went on to help me through more uncomfortable procedures . I wish Mr. Oliver Warren all the best in his Consultancy and all who have the pleasure to work under him . June Murphy
